The DePaul University Urban Ecology Research Program is lead by Liam Heneghan and Lauren Umek.  We examine a variety of ecological issues, primarily those that pertain to the Chicago region.  Recent research has centered around the long term ecological effects of the invasive shrub, European Buckthorn (Rhamnus cathartica).

For more information about our research, contact the project coordinator, Lauren Umek lumek@depaul.edu or 773-325-4639.
