Note: there are two types of events scheduled:

"INC Conversations Series" which are daytime brownbag lunch events;

and

DePaul University Forum on Nature and Culture Discussion Series 2006, a series of evening events culminating with a visit to DePaul University of James Howard Kunstler (http://www.kunstler.com/).

 

"INC Conversations" Series:

A series of brown bag luncheon presentation/discussions led by 2005 Travel Award Recipients.

All events will be held in the Richardson Library, room 300;12pm

Please feel free to bring a lunch, light refreshments will be provided.

DePaul University Forum on Nature and Culture Discussion Series 2006

This year’s Nature and Culture Forum keynote speaker is James Howard Kunstler, the outspoken critic of suburbia, and leading proponent of New Urbanism. Kunstler is the author of “The Long Emergency: Surviving the End of the Oil Age, Climate Change, and Other Converging Catastrophes of the Twenty-first Century”, “The Geography of Nowhere”, “Home from Nowhere”, and “The City in Mind: Notes on the Urban Condition”.

As in previous years, we invite you to join us for a series of events: screenings, and discussions, leading up to Kunstler’s visit on April 18th. These events are all free and open to the community within and beyond DePaul University.

Note: All Discussions will be held on the 2nd floor of the McGowan Biological and Environmental Sciences Building, 2325 N Clifton, starting at 7:30 PM unless otherwise indicated. Tea/Coffee and tempting snacks will be provided.

Location of the Kunstler talk will be announced at a later date
