Introduction to Environmental Science
Summer 1999
We took advantage of the beautiful summer weather and went out
into the field THREE times during the five week class.
First we went to Prairie Wolf Slough to look at the wetlands:


The Red Team

The Green Team

Looking over the bridge at the dead frog in the stream
Then, we went
to Sommes Woods to study the soil:

"What color is the soil? 10YR 3/2"

A friendly walking stick decided to pay us a visit.
Finally, we
went to the North Branch of the Chicago River to
study the water quality of the river:
