Welcome to Remote Sensing, a course in the Department of Geography at DePaul University. This course presents an introduction to the fundamentals of remote sensing, analysis of the earth through air or space borne sensors. Special topics include image interpretation, image processing, change analysis, environmental monitoring, photogrammetry, and image classification. This term we will explore remote sensing through lectures, hands-on lab activities, and a final project. Key characteristics of the course are:

Emphasis on applied urban environmental remote sensing
Interdisciplinary context
