Quiz Preview and
Instructions
To
help you understand the format, view the three pages below that are very much
like what a real quiz will look like.
1.
Answer sheet.
This page will be turned in when the quiz is over, and will have your name and
person number at the top. Each quiz will have two parts: Map quiz and Short
answer. To answer the map quiz, you should look at the map, and
identify the place name with the order number provided in the place list.
The answer for the short answer should be filled in with word(s) or phrases.
2. Map This
is identical to map exercises downloadable from
course web site except that the map is labeled with alphabets. In the case of
city, the label is located right above the city (e.g. Please look at F
in the map). In the case of physical features, the label is located in the
center of the physical feature (e.g. Please look at B and C in
the map).
3. Place list. This is identical to map
exercises downloadable from course web site except that there is a number
beside each item.
How to prepare map quizzes?
The
blank maps and place lists can be downloaded from course web site (They can
also be found in the CD that comes with your text). All the names can be found
in the Atlas of World Geography.
How to prepare short answers?
All
problems are covered during the lecture. Read the text thoroughly. Go over key
terms listed at the end of each chapter.
